Book Publisher and Publishing Services Provider to the Corporate, Educational, Subject Matter Expert, Trade and Aspiring Author markets since 1994.

Shortcuts to Success
“Gold Leaf Press was a natural extension of my publishing career path. The idea for my company took root when I realized that many of the educational textbooks and scholarly works I had been involved with during my first ten years in book publishing had tremendous untapped market potential outside of their original academic niches. Consequently, I independently launched Gold Leaf Press with two academic works that crossed over seamlessly to broader markets. Gold Leaf Press is still in business, and my premise will always hold true for many educational, academic and scholarly works originally written as theses, seminar presentations or course materials.”

Rebecca J. Ensign, Publisher Gold Leaf press, [1997, Barnes & Noble Publishing discussion]

Specializations

The following genres are Gold Leaf Press’ core competencies and (not coincidentally) are your strong suits for launching a writing career or realizing your writing, publishing or career objectives. Furthermore, and no less important, if you find that you, your profession or recreational hobby falls into one of these categories, especially if you already have material created that could fall into one of these categories, we urge you to consider becoming published.

For instance, does your profession or avocation lend itself to conferences, conventions, trade shows or workshops? Do you attend them from time to time? Do you speak, present or participate at these events or are there opportunities available for you to do so? If your answer even borders on “yes”, you should have a published book.

And if you recognize the importance having a published book would be to your personal or professional aspirations but the thought of writing a book is simply too overwhelming, remember, Gold Leaf Press can ghostwrite or co-author your book for you. It would probably surprise you if you knew how many books are “written” this way. In fact, many of Gold Leaf Press’ titles were created from the author’s or client company’s handouts, spiral bound manuals and typewritten notes – always under the client’s supervision, of course.

Educational, Academic, Scholarly, and Training Manuals

Are you an educator? Do you teach at any level – from K-12 through graduate school? If so, we know you have compiled enough material and handouts in at least one subject area to create a book. Why haven’t you?

Gold Leaf Press Publisher, Rebecca J. Ensign began her career in college textbook publishing. Consequently, we understand textbooks and academic works. And while, university and college presses are an educator’s first choice for publishing, you can often end up with a very false impression of the publishing process as a result of your experience with these types of presses.

If you have a niche, or if you desire full editorial control over your material, you need to take a more active role in the publishing process. Furthermore, if you are under the impression that your readership may be too small because there are only 5000 students nationally who enroll in courses in your discipline, Gold Leaf Press wants you to know that 5000 students is excellent. And, we can work with you to respectably publish and market your work so it gains critical acclaim as well as a wider mass appeal. In short, isn’t it true that as an educator, your first objective is to educate – as many students and motivated readers as possible? Gold Leaf Press is as committed to your objective as you are.

Alternative Medicine - Healing the SelfAlternative Medicine Healing the Self
By Paul H. Skinner, Ph.D.

$15.00

The first book published under Gold Leaf Press’ independent imprint, Alternative Medicine: Healing the Self and its author, Dr. Paul Skinner, were on the cutting edge of this genre. At the time of its publication, University of Arizona had the only full Alternative Medicine curriculum, of which, Dr. Skinner’s work and publication was a foundational component. Formally published for use in his courses, this book went on to become a required reference primer for medical students interested in incorporating Alternative Medicine and the Mind-Body connection into their practices and laypeople to incorporate these modes into their lifestyles.

The Human Development Hoax: Time To Tell The TruthThe Human Development Hoax: Time To Tell The Truth
By C. Ward Kischer, M.S., Ph.D.
Dianne N. Irving, M.A., Ph.D

$15.00

Pro-choice versus pro-life has been a key topic of American political debate since Roe v. Wade. Boldly and deliberately, Kischer (University of Arizona College of Medicine) and Irving (DeSales School of Theology) blended their distinctive scholarly specializations and in so doing, exposed the myths and revealed the scientific facts and philosophical basis for defining human life; the result is a sound argument and logical defense of the “Right to Life” position. Accepted worldwide as a primary life issues reference book, a copy of this book was accepted by Pope John Paul II for inclusion in the Vatican Library and was a required reference during the 1996 Doctors for Life conference in Johannesburg, South Africa.
